Client Testimonial: University of Tulsa Football

The Golden Hurricane football program represents the University of Tulsa in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level and is a member of the ACC. Two of their key players during the 2019 season were recently taken in last April’s NFL Draft, when Reggie Robinson was selected in the 4th round by the Dallas Cowboys and Trevis Gipson was selected in the 5th round by the Chicago Bears. In hopes to continue providing a stepping stone to the NFL for their players, as well as being competitive in the ACC, their strength and conditioning department was in search of technology to give them an edge and help prepare their players for the season as well as the next level.

The Tulsa football strength staff works day in and day out to prepare their football players year round and relies heavily on the GPS data to gauge the intensity and volume of their outdoor workouts.

“GPS load monitoring is crucial for all parts of our staff as well as for our athletes on a daily basis.  The metrics we gain during the spring ball and in-season phases help the strength and conditioning staff develop a more precise speed, agility, & conditioning program.”

Erich Anthony, Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance

Coach Anthony also mentioned that, “The metrics tracked open the door for conversations with staff and athletes about when to train harder and when we need to focus more on recovery for our athletes. TITAN has also proven extremely valuable to increase the daily competition for all of our guys who want to claim their spot as the fastest or most explosive player on the team and gives us a way to measure that effectively as well.”
